Call for volunteers

Posted by Martin on June 29, 2010

Are you the proud owner of a collection of painted Calpe Miniatures figures? If so, Peter F is looking for your assistance with a special mission. Here’s the brief…

Warhammer Historical is working on a Napoleonic version of its rules (I think the highly imaginative working title is Waterloo) and they’ve arranged a photo-shoot to take pictures of Peter F’s collection for the rulebook. However, Peter feels the need of more figures for the day – especially cavalry and artillery. And that’s where you come in, dear reader. If you think you’d be prepared to allow your figures to be used for this photo-shoot, then Peter F would very much like to hear from you. The date hasn’t been finalized yet but it’s likely to be some time in July.

If you do feel able to help out, in the first instance, please let us know by either commenting on the post or by using the contact form on the right of this page. Then I’ll forward your details to Peter F and he’ll take it from there.

It only remains for Peter F and I to thank you in advance!

All systems go!

Posted by Martin on November 17, 2009

I’ve just heard back from Dan at Wargames Illustrated and the photos I took over the weekend are (mostly) fine for my Prussian article. Dan’s also going to use some pictures provided by Stephen Maughan of Napoleonic Archive, so there’s now nothing to hold back publication.

Given that the January issue (published in December) is already in production, Dan’s slated my article in for the February issue (published in January). He tells me that he’ll send me a PDF of the laid out article for me to check over.
