Painting and modelling 28mm Napoleonic wargaming miniatures

Saxon painting notes now available

Posted by Martin on June 18, 2009

Just a brief note to say that I’ve now updated the Calpe website to include details of the painting notes for Saxon musketeers and grenadiers. Peter F. has also got in new stock of the Peter Bunde Brigade plates I mentioned last time. The four plates effectively cover all eight line infantry regiments and the four converged grenadier battalions.

So nobody’s got any excuses not to paint their new Saxon accurately now, have they 🙂

  1. Excellent. Order duly placed.

    Salute

Be useful if the twin regt could be named for the plates.

Yes, that’s an obvious and fair comment. The pairs are:

Blue facings: Prinz Anton Regiment and Low Regiment.
Green facings: Prinz Clemens Regiment and Prinz Friedrich August Regiment.
Red facicings: Konig Regiment and von Niesemeuchel Regiment.
Yellow facings: von Rechten Regiment and Prinz Maximilian Regiment.

I’ll add that info to the page on the Calpe website when I get a spare moment.
